Sylvain est un jeune homme de 27 ans atteint d’ataxie depuis l’âge de 14 ans. L’ataxie est une maladie qui atteint le system nerveux et les muscles. Mais depuis 1999 il se donne corps et âme et à cœur joie pour les sport pour personnes à besoin spéciaux au Nouveau-Brunswick . Tout a commencé en 1999 quand il a bâti le bathurst wheelers : c’est l’équipe de wheelchair basketball. Il a tiré les reines comme coach et joueur jusqu’en 2003 de quand il a pu placer 3 joueurs sur team nb aux jeux du Canada, en 2005 il a placé un joueur sur team Canada jr et en 2007 il a pu placer 6 joueurs sur team nb pour les jeux du canada Yukon en 2008. il a coacher équipe nb au jeux de la francophonie en Alberta. En 2004 il a arrêté de jouer mais ça ne l’a pas empêché de coacher 2 équipes a la fois. En 2009 il a commencé aussi à coacher le boccia, l’athlétisme et en novembre wheelchair curling. Je crois que vous voyer que Sylvain mérite vraiment ce prix. Il se bat toujours avec sa santé et la douleur mais il trouve toujours du temps pour tout organiser et coacher.

Your determination and contribution to wheelchair basketball in Bathurst and as part of N.-B is second to none and you deserve a great deal of respect. Sylvain est dabore et avent tout un super de bon ami a qui nous pouvons nous fier sans avoir de souci. Comme entraineur il est le meilleur je peux vous le dire car il a un sens de respect de détermination et de compréhension et bien de la patience qui fait de lui un entraineur model. Donc quand on parle de Sylvain c'est 110% point final. Merci Sylvain!!
